Dedicated Service over Satellite ...

A transparent, bi-directional connection by satellite is made available thanks to the BuCVS-Connectivity Service, where selected national and international point-to-point connections can be established easily. BuCVS-Connectivity Service is using SCPC (Single Channel Per Carrier) technology which is available in one-way or two-way modes with dedicated capacity providing a permanently available data path. SCPC can be used in shared hub, customer hub or hub-less configurations and managed centrally from a Teleport or customer premises. The connection can be either symmetrical (e.g. for voice transmission) or asymmetrical (e.g. for internet). Normally, in this case, an antenna is installed at the end user point of the connections, that can be anything from 1,80 m up to

3,80 m high. This enables complete and total independence from any terrestrial network infrastructure. You can use our Teleport close to Frankfurt (Germany), when antennas cannot be brought to the customers specific branches and computer centers. In this case the customer`s computer centre is connected by means of  terrestrial lines with a teleport run by BuCVS.

The BuCVS-Connectivity is available in the following bandwidth:

• 32 kbps up to 155 Mbps (STM-1)

Quality

The BuCVS-Connectivity Service guarantees the following conductivity quality:

• Bit Error Rate (BER) functions at a maximum of 10-6
• Availability is between 99% und 99,7% per year depending on the service level
• The round-trip delay is ~ 600 ms
• Monitoring of the connections
• Hotline 24h*7days

CustomerCustomer Interface

The BuCVS-Connectivity Service supports the following customer interfaces as standard:

• 10/100 Mbps Ethernet LAN / IEEE 802.3 / RJ-45
• Serial Interface X.21 /RS 449 /V.35
• Optionally G.703 /HSSI /ASI

All interfaces meet the standards required both mechanically and electrically of the CCITT Norms.

Data Protocol

BuCVS offers the following communications protocol for the BuCVS-Connectivity Service:

• IP
• Transparent (The protocol work on a Layer 1 basis and  is Bit transparent which prevents an overload on the lines.)
